Criminal Intelligence Training Master Calendar

Purpose

This calendar is designed to provide state, local, tribal, and federal law enforcement with a single point of access to federally sponsored intelligence training programs that meet the Minimum Criminal Intelligence Training Standards . The calendar is an initiative of the Intelligence Training Coordination Working Group and the Counter-Terrorism Training Coordination Working Group and was developed with funding support from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance.

In addition, analytic courses that have been reviewed for compliance with the Common Competencies for State, Local, and Tribal Intelligence Analysts and approved by FEMA for inclusion in either the National Training and Education Division (NTED) Training Course Catalog or the State/Federal Sponsored Training Course Catalog are located on the FEMA Approved Intelligence Analyst Training Courses Web page. These courses meet analytic training requirements for fusion center analysts set forth in the Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP).

Course Description

Intelligence Leaders Seminar (ILS)

Description: The Intelligence Leaders Seminar (ILS) participants will explore their roles and responsibilities in building a collaborative homeland security intelligence enterprise. The seminar’s goal is to exchange DHS intelligence operational experience at the senior manager, leader, and executive levels and address today’s intelligence enterprise challenges. The first two days of the course will use the programs and exhibitions of the 9/11 Memorial Museum as context for leadership discussion on the Department’s intelligence mission, culture, and operations. The third day of the course will be conducted at a DHS facility in New York and will use facilitated discussion as a means of exploring the challenges currently facing the DHS Intelligence Enterprise.

Level of Knowledge: Advanced

Target Student: IE/HSE Leadership (GS-14 to SES & SLTT equivalent)

Classification: UNCLASSIFIED

Evaluation: Students must complete all blocks of instruction to receive a graduation certificate.
