Intermediate Risk Analysis for Fusion Center Analysts (IRA-Analyst)

Delivered at Argonne National Labs in Lemont, IL (outside of Chicago, IL).

The Office of Cyber and Infrastructure Analysis (OCIA) Intermediate Risk Analysis for Fusion Center Analysts Course builds on the foundation established in the introductory course and delves deeper into risk analysis methods and tools. It provides participants a focus on instruction, demonstrations, and exercises on enhancing qualitative analytic approaches with semi-quantitative and quantitative techniques, and provides participants with an understanding and hands-on use of risk matrices and analytic tools to assist in the performance of risk analyses. This course was developed by OCIA in partnership with FEMA and I&A.

Please note that the introductory course is a prerequisite for the intermediate course for all attending analysts.

Level of Knowledge: Intermediate-level

Classification: UNCLASSIFIED

Evaluation: Exercises focus on the institutionalization of a streamlined fusion center risk analysis process, the application of worksheets to organize analytic approaches, and the use of specific fusion center risk product templates.

Course Delivery: This course is delivered at Argonne National Laboratory, 9700 S. Cass Avenue, Lemont, IL (outside of Chicago, IL).

Course Length: 3 days

Target Audience: Participation in this program is limited to state and major urban area fusion center analysts employed by a state or local government agency. Course content is specifically designed for fusion center risk and/or critical infrastructure analysts.
